Scottychams is an independent hip hop artist from Toronto by way of Waterloo, Canada, known for honest lyricism, motivational storytelling, and a sound that blends hip hop, R&B, trap, soul, melodic rap, and conscious rap.
Writing since 2014 and officially releasing music since 2016, he has built a catalog of 77 released tracks rooted in growth, faith, ambition, mental health, love, setbacks, and the belief that pain can become purpose.
Shaped by his university years in Oshawa, Scottychams founded We The 9 in 2016 as a 905 based collective for artists, DJs, and independent creatives. What began as a local movement became a larger symbol of independent ambition and creative freedom.
His album If I Wasn't Me released May 15, 2026 is a 20 track project about reflection, resilience, love, self belief, and choosing light after difficult seasons.

Founded in Oshawa in 2016, We The 9 began as a 905 area collective for independent artists, DJs, and creatives. A movement for the 99%, for the people building outside the industry's permission. Today it functions as Scottychams' independent creative home.
